Title: Methods for Studying Evolution

The origin and evolution of life on our planet is a fundamental question in biology. Aside from being a natural curiosity, evolutionary studies can provide valuable insight into the mechanisms of selection and environmental change on our planet. In this talk, we will provide an overview of the methods used to study evolution and applications of these methods in the fields of geology, astrophysics, and (astro)biology.
