The Simons Collaboration on the Global Brain hosts a quarterly west coast postdoc meeting series. The purpose of these meetings is to bring together postdocs interested in neural coding and dynamics to discuss ideas and data. The meeting organizer is Anna Gillespie, a postdoc and SCGB Fellow in Loren Frank’s lab at UCSF. The speakers for the summer meeting are:
Lowry Kirkby, University of California, San Francisco
Neural encoding of mood in the human brain
Stéphane Deny, Stanford University
A dual code in retinal ganglion cells of a single type: moving beyond the feature detector hypothesis
Note: This meeting is open only to postdocs. Contact kscobie@simonsfoundation to be added to the guest list and for information on future postdoc meetings.
