Kara Dolinski is Assistant Director at the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics, and Director of its Genome Databases Group. Her group develops database tools that provide a handle on functional and comparative genomics data for biomedical researchers, curating the scientific literature to collect the information and standardize it into regular formats to make it more accessible to biologists and computer scientists. In addition, it develops software for searching, analyzing and visualizing the vast amounts of genomics data now readily available.
