Loucas Pillaud-Vivien joined the Center of Computational Mathematics as a Flatiron Research Fellow in October, 2022. He is interested in the study of high-dimensional applied mathematics problems including machine learning and molecular dynamics. Among other things, Loucas’ research includes the study of stochastic algorithms that aim to tackle large-scale problems. Loucas earned a master’s degree from École Polytechnique, a Ph.D. in Machine Learning from INRIA/ENS in Paris, and most recently completed his postdoctoral studies in machine learning at EPFL in Switzerland.
