Michael joined the Biophysical Modeling group in the Center for Computational Biology in June 2020. He is working on a joint project with Dr. Blakesley Burkhart in the Center for Computational Astrophysics using statistical methods to classify turbulence in simulations of active-matter flows. Prior to joining, Michael received a B.A. in Physics from New York University where he worked with Professor David Grier. There, he enjoyed developing a holographic video microscopy framework to incorporate machine vision in experiments using optical micromanipulation.
