Nikhil Parthasarathy
PhD Student, New York University
Nikhil Parthasarathy is a guest researcher in the Center for Computational Neuroscience and is a PhD candidate (advised by Prof. Eero Simoncelli) in the Center for Neural Science at NYU. His work focuses on the development of biologically-inspired models of visual processing that can be used to both understand more about primate visual representations as well as build better artificial vision systems. Prior to this, Nikhil was a researcher in the Chichilnisky lab at Stanford University, developing deep learning methods to understand the visual information encoded in macaque retinal responses. He also completed both a B.S. (Electrical Engineering) and M.S (Computational and Mathematical Engineering) from Stanford University.
