Sean Matt, Ph.D.
Visiting Scholar, Flatiron Institute
Sean Matt joined CCA as a visiting scholar in January, 2023. He is an associate professor of astrophysics at the University of Exeter. His current research focuses on understanding the rotation, magnetic activity, and environments of Sun-like and low-mass stars. Sean earned a B.S. from the University of Arizona and a Ph.D. from the University of Washington. Since then, he has held postdoctoral fellowships and positions in the United States, Canada, and France, before taking up his current position in the United Kingdom.
