Yongseok Jo, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, Simons Observatory, CCA, Flatiron Institute

Yongseok Jo joined the Flatiron Institute in August 2022 as Research Fellow in the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA). He mainly works on cosmic microwave background (CMB) data analysis for the Simons Observatory and the Atacama Cosmology Telescope.

Prior to joining CCA, he obtained a Ph.D. in physics from Seoul National University in South Korea. His research focuses on numerical simulations and applications of machine learning to help us understand the physics behind the evolution of the universe and galaxy formation.
