Aditya Mishra, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, Numerical Algorithms, CCB, Flatiron Institute

Aditya Mishra joined the foundation in 2017 as flatiron research fellow  with Numerical Algorithms group in the Flatiron Institute’s Center for Computational Biology. He is developing statistical methods and software with applications to microbial data. Before coming to the foundation, Aditya obtained his Ph.D. in Statistics from Department of Statistics, University of Connecticut, Storrs,  where he proposed statistical methods for low-rank and sparse recovery in multivariate analysis. He holds B.S. and M.S. degree in Statistics and Informatics from Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India.

Research Interests
Aditya’s research interest includes dimension reduction, variable selection, multivariate analysis, regularization, statistical computing, compositional data analytics, robust estimation, microbiome data analytics and marine ecosystems modeling.
