Christopher Duckworth

Research Analyst, Galaxy Formation, CCA, Flatiron Institute

Chris Duckworth joined the foundation as a research analyst in 2019 as a part of the CCA. His research interests lie in the angular momentum content of galaxies and how this connects both to large scale structure but also the initial conditions in which the galaxy was formed. Duckworth analyses the results of both observations and simulations in order to interpret the evolutionary history of the galaxies we see in the local Universe. Duckworth is currently a PhD student at St Andrews University, UK. Prior to this, he was an undergraduate student at the University of Nottingham, UK and completed his masters, in part, at Observatório Nacional, Brazil.
