Dhairya Malhotra, Ph.D.

Research Scientist, CCM, Flatiron Institute

Dhairya joined the Flatiron Institute in September 2020 as a Research Scientist. Previously, Malhotra was a Postdoctoral Associate at New York University. As part of his research, Malhotra’s interest includes high performance computing, parallel algorithms, integral equation methods, and fast algorithms for numerical solution of problems in electrostatics, magnetostatics, electromagnetic and acoustic scattering, incompressible Stokes flow, complex fluids, and magnetohydrodynamics. He has been awarded the ACM SIGHPC Outstanding Dissertation Award in 2018 and the ACM/IEEE-CS George Michael Memorial HPC Fellowship in 2015. Malhotra holds a Ph.D. in Computational Science Engineering and Mathematics and a M.S. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin and an Integrated M.Tech in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
