Elena Giusarma joined the foundation in 2018 as a Flatiron Research Fellow at the Center for Computational Astrophysics. Her research interests include cosmology, large-scale structure, cosmic microwave background radiation and machine learning. Her work is focused on analyzing cosmological datasets to explore neutrino properties and derive best constraints on cosmological parameters. Giusarma earned an M.Sc. in astronomy and astrophysics at the Sapienza University of Rome and a Ph.D. at the Instituto de Fisica Corpuscular in Valencia. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Istituto di Fisica Nucleare in Rome and at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
