Hugo Strand, Ph.D.

Associate Research Scientist, Flatiron Institute

Hugo U.R. Strand joined the Center for Computational Quantum Physics in 2018 to work on method and code development for strongly correlated electron systems. Before moving to New York, Strand was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Fribourg and a senior postdoc at University of Geneva in Switzerland, studying dynamical and non-equilibrium properties of interacting quantum systems. He holds an M.S in applied physics from Chalmers University of Technology and a Ph.D. in physics from University of Gothenburg in Sweden.
