Jeff Soules

Software Engineer, CCM, Flatiron Institute

Jeff Soules joined the Center for Computational Mathematics in April 2020 as a Software Engineer. Jeff has over ten years’ experience in software development, previously as a Senior Technology Solutions Developer at NYU Law School. Jeff was a Master’s Student Researcher at the Center for Computational Biology under Dr. Rich Bonneau with Dr. Julia Koehler Leman, where he redesigned VIPUR, a tool which analyzes sequence and structural data features to determine whether protein mutations are deleterious. His interests include machine learning, strong artificial intelligence, and reproducibility in scientific research. He holds a B.A. from Columbia University and an M.S. in Computer Science, with a focus on machine learning and AI, from New York University.
