Jiayin Dong is a Flatiron Research Fellow at the Center for Computational Astrophysics since July 2022. She uses computational and observational approaches to study how planetary systems form and evolve.

Jiayin earned her Ph.D. in Astronomy & Astrophysics with a minor in Computational Science at the Pennsylvania State University. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a dual degree in Engineering Physics and Astronomy. Jiayin is the recipient of the Alumni Association Dissertation Award, Duncombe Research Prize, Zaccheus Daniel Fellowship, and Braddock Fellowship.
