Miao Li, Ph.D.

Research Fellow, Galaxy Formation, CCA, Flatiron Institute

Miao Li joined the foundation in 2017 as a Flatiron Research Fellow at the Center for Computational Astrophysics. She obtained her Ph.D. in astrophysics from Columbia University. Li’s research focuses on understanding how galaxies form and evolve, in particular on how the small-scale feedback from stars regulates galaxy formation. Li utilizes high-resolution numerical simulations to decipher how feedback works, and how feedback impacts galaxies and their environments.
