Sarah Pearson, Ph.D.

Sarah Pearson is originally from Denmark and she has a PhD in astrophysics from Columbia University. She’s currently a NASA Hubble Fellow at the Center for Cosmology and Particle Physics at NYU. Her research focuses on the structure and evolution of galaxies, and she has contributed to our understanding of the Milky Way’s dark matter content. In addition to doing research, Sarah is very passionate about communication science. She has given numerous public lectures, including events at the World Science Festival, and she runs the outreach program “Space with Sarah” on YouTube and Instagram, where she answers the most frequently posed questions about space.
