Yuan Li, Ph.D.

Yuan Li joined the foundation in 2017 as a research fellow at the Center for Computational Astrophysics. Yuan is a theoretical and computational astrophysicist. She studies the development of thermal instabilities, and the feeding and feedback of supermassive black holes in the centers of galaxies and galaxy clusters. She obtained her Ph.D. in astrophysics from Columbia University and was a postdoc fellow at the University of Michigan before joining the CCA.
