Resources: Research Match

Research Match enables approved researchers to recruit eligible participants from SFARI's contactable autism research cohorts for new studies.

Overview

Research Match enables approved researchers to recruit eligible participants from SFARI’s contactable autism research cohorts for new studies. It is currently available for SPARK, Simons Searchlight and the Simons Simplex Collection (SSC), through its contactable registry.

Researchers can use Research Match to recruit participants for studies involving new data collection, including surveys, interviews, assessments and other forms of participant engagement. There is generally no fee to use Research Match for participant recruitment, although fees may apply for studies requiring custom or additional support. Researchers are required to return resulting data to SFARI so it can be made available to the broader research community through SFARI Base.

How it works

To use Research Match, a principal investigator submits a request through SFARI Base describing the proposed study, eligibility criteria and participant activities. Requests are reviewed by SFARI’s Participant Access Committee, and approved studies are matched with potentially eligible participants, who are then invited to take part. Participation is entirely voluntary.
