About

Over the past fifty years, the field of biology has transformed from a predominantly empirical science into one grounded in quantitative theory, modern tools of data analysis, and large-scale simulation.

Our research teams have access to the state-of-the-art computing power they need to undertake ambitious, long-term research projects that transcend conventional disciplinary boundaries. Our goal is to advance a quantitative and predictive understanding of biological phenomena.

We develop rigorous modeling tools and theory to characterize biological processes and to create computational frameworks that will enable the analysis of the large, complex datasets being generated by quantitative experimental technologies.
