Mathematics & Physical Sciences: Simons Fellows in Mathematics

Providing funds to faculty for semester-long research leaves from classroom teaching and administrative obligations.

About

The Simons Fellows in Mathematics program provides mathematics faculty on sabbatical additional funding to extend their leave from a single term to a full academic year. By enabling mathematics faculty to step away from classroom teaching and administrative obligations, the program aims to increase creativity and productivity in theoretical research.

Awards will be based on the applicant’s scientific accomplishments in the five-year period preceding the application and on the potential scientific impact of their work on sabbatical.

Funding

The Simons Fellows in Mathematics program makes sabbatical research leaves more productive by providing funding to extend them from a single term to a full academic year.
