Simons Symposia

Bringing together mathematicians, theoretical physicists and theoretical computer scientists over a series of three weeklong events.

About

Since 2012, the Simons Foundation has hosted Simons Symposia every two years to highlight exciting developments in mathematics, theoretical physics and theoretical computer science. Each symposium series focuses on one topic or a tightly connected group of topics and comprises three weeklong meetings. Recent symposia topics include lattice models and interacting particle systems, combinatorics, multi-scale physics, and dark matter.

The first meetings in the new series will start in the summer of 2028, and the foundation expects to select up to two series in mathematics and two series in theoretical physics.

Apply

Each Simons Symposia series brings together mathematicians, theoretical physicists and/or theoretical computer scientists to interact and collaborate in a series of up to three symposia, held every second year and focusing on one topic or a tightly connected group of topics.
