Victor Ramirez Delgado, Ph.D.

Victor Ramirez Delgado joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) as a Flatiron Research Fellow in September 2026. He focuses on developing and applying time series analysis techniques on astronomical data to characterize periodic and non-periodic phenomena. He mainly utilizes time series analysis to disentangle stellar activity from planet signals in radial velocity observations, but is interested in other astronomical applications. He has also worked on the study of magnetic massive stars to better understand the origin of their magnetic fields.

He completed his Ph.D. in physics at the University of Delaware in 2026, where he was awarded the Unidel Distinguished Graduate Scholar Award. He also earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Delaware.
