“The Serengeti Rules,” a film about the quest to discover the very ways in which life works, will have its world premiere at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival on April 21.

Directed by Emmy and BAFTA award-winning filmmaker Nicolas Brown, “The Serengeti Rules” tells the story of a group of young scientists who ventured to some of Earth’s most exotic places — from the Serengeti to the Arctic Ocean — driven by a curiosity about the mechanisms of nature. Together, they discovered a set of “rules” that govern all life on Earth, forever changing the way we see the world and establishing lessons for future conservation and restoration efforts.

“The Serengeti Rules,” based on a book by biologist Sean Carroll, was produced by Passion Pictures and HHMI Tangled Bank Studios, and received support from Science Sandbox.
