Bio

Dylan Alex Simon (they/them) joined the Flatiron Institute in 2017 to provide software architecture, design, development, and training support for researchers with an emphasis on scientific analysis and data sharing. They draw on industry experience in network and systems-level software engineering, as well as extensive work with open-source development, compiler design, and functional programming. They hold a B.S. in computer science from Caltech and a Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience from New York University, where they developed computational algorithms to model human decision-making behavior and neural computations. Most recently they worked at NYU where they built the Databrary data sharing platform and developed additional research data management tools.
