From the active metropolis inside each living cell to the vibrant dynamics of motile microorganisms, mechanical insights continue to advance our understanding of the living world. Hosted by the Center for Computational Biology, this three-day workshop will bring together theoretical researchers in biological structures and biologically active matter, to share their recent discoveries, and to develop new scientific relationships and collaborations. Particular attention will be paid to new mathematical models and analytical approaches, and numerical techniques with their integration with inference methods, for exploring complex, biologically active systems.
