The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has recognized three outstanding current and former members of the Simons Collaboration on the Global Brain (SCGB) with the NIH Director’s New Innovator Award. The honor “supports exceptionally creative early career investigators who propose innovative, high-impact projects in the biomedical, behavioral or social sciences within the NIH mission.”
The 72 winners announced this year include SCGB principal investigator Sergey Stavisky, an assistant professor at the University of California, Davis; and former SCGB postdoctoral fellows Xiaoyin Chen, now an assistant investigator at the Allen Institute, and Vikram Gadagkar, now an assistant professor at Columbia University.
The Simons Foundation congratulates all the winners for their exemplary research.
