Conor Smith, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, CCQ, Flatiron Institute

Conor Smith joined the Center for Computational Quantum Physics (CCQ) as a Flatiron Research Fellow in July 2025 after receiving his PhD from the University of New Mexico in May 2025. The last two years of his Ph.D. were spent here at the Flatiron Institute before becoming a Flatiron Research Fellow. His primary focus is around machine learning methods for quantum many-body physics and he is currently developing and applying neural network methods to understand exotic phases of matter in two dimensional systems.
