Hannah Bayer is a Senior Scientific Officer at the Simons Foundation and scientific lead for the Collaboration on Plasticity and the Aging Brain. Previously, she was the Executive Director of the International Brain Laboratory, a large-scale collaboration studying the neural basis of decision making with a commitment to reproducibility and open science. Prior to that she was Chief Scientific Officer at Datacubed Health, a startup she co-founded that develops technology to improve compliance, retention and engagement in clinical trials. Before that, she was a Research Associate Professor at NYU’s Institute for the Study of Decision Making, where she focused on using the tools of informatics to study how people make decisions in their natural habitat. Prior to joining NYU, she was an editor at Nature Neuroscience. Dr. Bayer completed her post-doctoral research at Columbia University and received her Ph.D. in neuroscience from NYU.
