Bio

Valentin Crépel joined the foundation in August 2022 after completion of his Ph.D. in condensed matter theory at MIT. He is passionate about strongly correlated quantum many-body systems, in which coherent and collective phenomena with experimentally measurable consequences at mesoscopic scales can be measured or engineered. In this realm, Valentin’s works focus on spontaneous ferromagnetism in bilayer and multi-components systems, the stabilization of fractional quantum Hall states, and how topological phases can be used for universal quantum computations.
