Agnish Kumar Behera is a Flatiron Research Fellow in the Center for Computational Neuroscience. He received his B.S. in chemistry with minors in physics and biology from Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru and his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. During his Ph.D., he worked on the processing of information out of equilibrium in Hopfield models and generative diffusion models. As a long standing research interest, he wants to understand the storage and retrieval of episodic memories. Currently, Behera works on understanding how neurons perceive information and devise responses for various tasks from a control theory perspective.
