Ankit Mahajan is an Associate Research Scientist jointly appointed between the Initiative for Computational Catalysis and the Center for Computational Quantum Physics. He develops numerical approaches to tackle quantum many-body problems in strongly correlated materials and catalysis, with a particular focus on quantum Monte Carlo methods. He joined the Flatiron Institute in 2026 after postdoctoral research at Columbia University and a PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder.
