Thomas Hilder, Ph.D.
Flatiron Research Fellow, CCA, Astronomical Data, Flatiron Institute
Thomas Hilder joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics as a Software Flatiron Research Fellow in October 2026. Thomas works on building statistical models of the ionised interstellar medium in order to decode the three-dimensional physical, chemical and dynamical structure of star-forming regions. He is also interested in developing new methods and algorithms for astrophysical data analysis problems more broadly, and in making these widely available through open source software development. Thomas earned his Ph.D. from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
