Yu Jin joined the Initiative for Computational Catalysis (ICC) as a Flatiron Research Fellow in March 2025. He is interested in the development of electronic structure methods with applications in catalytic systems. He obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Chicago in 2024 and his B.S. in Material Chemistry from Peking University in 2018. From 2024 to 2025, he was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Chicago.
