Jason Hunt, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, Dynamics, CCA, Flatiron Institute

Jason joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics as a Flatiron Research Fellow. He earned his Ph.D. in Astrophysics from University College London and his Math, 1st class for Mathematics in Astronomy from University of Leicester. He won the John Charles Polanyi prize in Physics in 2018, the Dunlap Research Award from 2016-2019, and the Alan Johnstone award for outstanding scientific achievement by a student in 2015, as well as many others. Prior to joining CCA, Jason held positions as a Dunlap Fellow at Dunlap Institute for Astronomy & Astrophysics, and was a Member of the European Space Agency’s Gaia Data Processing & Analysis Consortium at Mullard Space Science Laboratory.
