Emily joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics as a Flatiron Research Fellow in September, 2019. She is a member of the Dynamics Group and the Astronomical Data Group. Emily studies the Milky Way stellar halo, and is interested in using the kinematic and chemical properties of halo stars to answer fundamental questions about galaxy formation. She earned her Ph.D. in Astronomy & Astrophysics, with a Designated Emphasis in Statistics, from UC Santa Cruz, working with Raja Guhathakurta, Connie Rockosi and Alis Deason. She earned her B.S. in Physics and Astronomy from Haverford College.
A list of her publications can be found on ADS here.
