Alberto Bietti, Ph.D.

Research Scientist, CCM, Flatiron Institute

Alberto Bietti joined the Center for Computational Mathematics (CCM) as a Research Scientist in August 2023. Alberto received his Ph.D. in applied mathematics from Inria Centre at the University Grenoble Alpes in 2019 and was a Faculty Fellow at the NYU Center for Data Science from 2020 to 2022. He also spent time at Inria Paris Centre, Microsoft Research, and Meta AI. Prior to his Ph.D., he obtained degrees from MINES ParisTech and École Normale Supérieure, and worked as a software engineer at Quora. His research focuses on the theoretical foundations of deep learning.
