Alexander Hampel, Ph.D.

Associate Data Scientist, CCQ, Flatiron Institute

Alexander Hampel joined the Center for Computational Quantum Physics (CCQ) in October of 2019. He has a just obtained his Ph.D. in materials science from the ETH Zurich, where he investigated quantum materials exhibiting strong electron correlation effects, by using state of the art ab-initio simulation techniques, combining DFT and DMFT. Moreover, he holds a M.S. in physics from the University of Hamburg. At CCQ he will work on the triqs software library and investigating the behavior of complex transition-metal oxides.
