Aron Wall, Ph.D.

University of Cambridge

Aron Wall is a lecturer at Cambridge University. As a member of It from Qubit, he was a research associate at Stanford University. His Ph.D. was supervised by Ted Jacobson at the University of Maryland, and his previous postdocs were at the University of California, Santa Barbara and the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University. He likes to think about black-hole thermodynamics and holography, especially questions related to entanglement entropy, the second law of thermodynamics and causality (e.g., is it possible to build a traversable wormhole?). He hopes that a better understanding of how information flows through space-time will help provide clues about the nature of quantum gravity at the Planck scale.
