Brent Tan, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, Galaxy Formation, CCA, Flatiron Institute

Brent Tan joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) as a Flatiron Research Fellow in October 2023. In 2022, Brent worked as a research analyst in CCA’s pre-doctoral program. He earned his Ph.D. in astronomy from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2023. The focus of his research has been on the physics of multiphase gas in the context of the CGM and feedback in galaxies.
