Chanwoo Chun

Ph.D. Candidate, Weill Cornell Medical College

Chanwoo Chun is a Ph.D. student of Tri-I Computational Biology and Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, advised by Prof. Daniel D. Lee. His research is focused on understanding the computational benefits of biological neural networks using theoretical and experimental approaches. Currently, he is investigating the statistical properties of a random sparse deep neural network inspired by cortical circuitry structures and its biological learning rules. Chanwoo completed his B.S. in Biological Engineering at Cornell University and worked as a research associate at Duke University where he investigated bipedal and hexapedal locomotions.
