Dries Sels, Ph.D.

Dries Sels joined the Flatiron Institute in 2020 as an Associate Research Scientist in the Center for Computational Quantum Physics. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at New York University. His research is focused on the development and application of new computational methods for simulating and understanding the behavior of far from equilibrium quantum systems, with a particular focus on quantum computing.

Dries received a M.Sc. from KULeuven &TUDelft, his Ph.D. from Antwerp University and he was a postdoctoral fellow at BU & Harvard University.
