Florentin Guth is a Flatiron Research Fellow in the Center for Computational Neuroscience (CCN) and a Faculty Fellow in the Center for Data Science at New York University. He previously completed his Ph.D. at École Normale Supérieure in Paris under the supervision of Stéphane Mallat. His main research interests are to develop a scientific theory of deep learning, mathematical models of image distributions, and understanding how to leverage structure in real-world data to escape the curse of dimensionality.
