Juan Pedraza, Ph.D.

Juan Pedraza is on the faculty of Institute for Theoretical Physics (IFT) Madrid. As a member of It from Qubit, he split his time between University College London and Brandeis University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015 under the supervision of Willy Fischler. Before joining the It from Qubit collaboration, he was an NWO-VENI fellow at the University of Amsterdam, where he spent a total of four years. His research interests cover a variety of topics on the interplay between gravity and quantum information theory, including questions pertaining to the emergence and dynamics of space-time, entanglement entropy and quantum chaos.
