Lily Zhao, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, Astronomical Data , CCA, Flatiron Institute

Lily joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics as a Flatiron Research Fellow in 2021, she previously worked at the Flatiron Institute as a Research Analyst. She earned her Ph.D. in Astronomy from Yale University and two B.A.s in Biological Sciences and Physics and a B.S. in Mathematics all from the University of Chicago. Prior to joining CCA, Lily worked as a Research Assistant at Yale Exoplanet Group. In 2018, she won the Sheldon Wise Pre-Doctoral Fellowship. In 2016, she became a Graduate Research Fellow at National Science Foundation, and in 2015 she won the Google Earth Engine Scholarship.
