Nicolas (Nico) Garavito-Camargo, Ph.D.

Nicolas (Nico) Garavito-Camargo joins us as a Flatiron Research Fellow. Nico earned his Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Arizona. He completed his undergrad at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia for Physics and earned his Masters in Physics from the Universidad de Los Andes. Prior to joining CCA, Nico worked for the Steward Observatory at the University of Arizona while working on his Ph.D. He is the recipient of the Excellence in Service award from the University of Arizona’s College of Science, the university’s travel grant as well as the IAU travel grant and the McCarthy-Stoeger Scholarship.
