Shiva Farashahi, Ph.D.

Shiva Farashahi was a Flatiron Research Fellow in the Center for Computational Neuroscience (CCN) from 2019 to 2022. During this time, she studied the connection between biologically inspired neural networks and representation learning in the brain. Prior to joining the CCN, she was a graduate student at Dartmouth College where she studied the computational principles and neural mechanisms of reinforcement learning in the brain. Currently, Farashahi is a senior machine learning engineer at Harbinger Health where she is focused on applying deep learning approaches to the detection of early cancer.
