Sonica Saraf, Ph.D.

Pre-doctoral Researcher, NeuroAI and Geometric Data Analysis, CCN, Flatiron Institute

Sonica Saraf is a Ph.D. student at NYU’s Center for Neural Science. She is a pre-doctoral researcher in the Center for Computational Neuroscience. Saraf is interested in the neural circuitry underlying our visual abilities and how neural tuning properties shape population-level geometry in early visual areas. She uses experimental approaches (neurophysiology in macaques), mathematical derivations and simulations to study these questions.
