Ulrich Steinwandel, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, Galaxy Formation, CCA, Flatiron Institute

Ulrich Steinwandel joined the Flatiron Institute as a Research Fellow with Galaxy Formation in April, 2021. Ulrich earned his PhD in theoretical and numerical astrophysics from the University Observatory Munich (USM) as part of the Emmy-Noether research group: Galaxies and Dark Matter, and at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics (MPA) in Garching. He earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s, both in Physics, from University of Konstanz. Ulrich was also a Kavli Summer Fellow at CCA in 2018
