Yesukhei Jagvaral

Predoctoral Fellow, Cosmology, CCA, Flatiron Institute

Yesukhei Jagvaral joined the Flatiron Institute’s Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) as a predoctoral fellow in January 2024. Yesukhei is a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University where he is a part of Rachel Mandelbaum’s cosmology group. His research focuses on enabling scientific discovery with weak gravitational lensing. Yesukhei also studies Intrinsic Alignment (IA) of galaxies using a two-pronged approach, academic work of IA using physically motivated analytic models and modeling IA using geometric deep learning methods.
